Vintage Dishes For RentThink back to the last baby shower you attended- pretty cake, possibly a clever theme, shower games and the pile of presents… such a pile, in fact, that you found a way to exit before enduring every single oooo and ahhh.  The expectant mother immersed in the sea of baby equipment and Onesies is a familiar sight to most of us.  Likely, this scene is more familiar to most of us than the sight of a newborn coming home to a room without any provisions at all.

But there are those who remain keenly aware of the need that some tiny new lives face, like Kim Amato.  Just over four years ago, she turned her attention to starting a non-profit organization to fill the need.  Baby’s Bounty works with various agencies and groups to find newborn babies in need.  And within 48 hours of a referral, Baby’s Bounty provides items like brand new car seats, a pack-n-go crib and a diaper bag full of new and gently used clothes.

How wonderful it was for Dirty Dishes to be able to participate in a tea party themed shower that benefitted Baby’s Bounty and the less fortunate babies they help.  A big thank you to Ann Parenti , Charli Carter of Kiwanis Neon Lights of Las Vegas and Sandy Kastel of WIMA for hosting this event. ~Tea donated by Louise Carruth of Tea-rrific ~ Floral arrangements by Amy Boger of We Do Plants, etc.
